School Lunches & Meals
The St. Vrain Valley School District's Department of Nutrition Services provides quality, nutritious and well balanced meals to the District's students. The Department strives to provide meals at a reasonable price and to make sure that all meals meet the National School Breakfast and Lunch nutritional guidelines providing a ¼ of the RDA (recommended dietary guidelines) at breakfast and 1/3 of the RDA’S at lunch for students.
In addition to the Department's goal of providing healthy meals for students, the Department works to be an efficient, self-supporting enterprise program within the District. It is the goal of the Department to cover all of its operating expenses. Over 2.45 million meals were prepared during the 2008/2009 school year by a staff of 225 employees that averaged 19.5 meals per labor hour.
Our team of nutrition service professionals is committed to providing a quality meal program to your student. We look forward to serving your child - and you - every day!
