May 19, 2009, Department of Communications
More than 700 volunteers from area churches will be participating in ShareFest, a community project to benefit St. Vrain schools on Saturday, June 6th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Volunteers donate time and supplies to improve the physical environment of eleven District schools by cleaning, painting and landscaping school grounds. St. Vrain schools benefitting from this civic project include Burlington, Central, Erie, Indian Peaks, Legacy, Loma Linda, Rocky Mountain, and Spangler Elementary Schools, Heritage Middle School and Erie & Frederick High Schools.
“This is an amazing partnership,” stated Rick Ring, assistant superintendent of auxiliary services. “These volunteers provide resources we might not otherwise have, to enhance our learning environment.”
ShareFest is in its fourth year and is spearheaded by LifeBridge Christian Church. The following churches provide volunteers: Bethlehem Lutheran, Calvary Bible, Central Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Grace Evangelical Free, Rocky Mountain Christian, LifeBridge Christian, New Creation and White Fields Community.
