2011 Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award
Eight St. Vrain schools have been honored with the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award which goes to the top 5 percent of schools in the state showing the highest growth in CSAP over the past three years:

John Irwin Award
The Colorado Department of Education honors the top 8 percent of elementary, middle and high schools for academic achievement with the John Irwin Award:

Colorado Trailblazer ‘Schools to Watch’
National program which identifies high-performing middle schools that are academically excellent, responsive to the developmental challenges of young adolescents, and socially equitable holding high expectations for all students.

SpringBoard National Demonstration School
Serves as a model for SpringBoard curriculum for the 2011-2013 school years. Longs Peak receives $10,000 in professional development credit as one of only 14 model sites across the nation.

Denver Post identified top schools in the state with the highest growth scores on the CSAP for 2010-2011. Out of over 1700 schools in Colorado, Mead Middle had the second highest growth.
