Department Overview
District Technology Services (DTS) provides a wide variety of services to the District including Internet, network, application, computer, server, copier, printer, and audio-visual telephony support. Our goal is to provide world-class technology access, support and leadership. District Media Services (DMS) supports, supplies and leads SVVSD libraries. Our Instructional Technology team leads the implementation and application of technologies in support of teaching and learning.
Oversight
District Technology Services includes the following departments and responsibilities:
- Information Technology: Steve Borecky, Senior Manager of Information Technology
- eLearning: Nawal Nader-French, eLearning Coordinator
- Enterprise Applications/Help Desk: Jeanne Sullivan, Enterprise Applications Manager
- Technical Support: Erik Black, Manager of Technical Support
- District Media Services: Holli Buchter, Coordinator of Media Services
- Instructional Technology: Kyle Addington, Michelle Bourgeois & Bud Hunt, Instructional Technology Coordinators
- DTS has overall responsibility for providing all tech support and instructional technology services
- DTS advances eLearning opportunities in a variety of ways including eCredit Recovery, online professional development, and blended learning environments
- DTS maintains all network communications including web, email and telephony services
- DTS adheres to state and federal regulations which includes monitoring resources
- DTS provides access and security for enterprise applications such as Infinite Campus, HR & Financial systems
- DTS provides technical support for all District computers, copiers, and audio visual equipment
- DTS provides library media services to the schools for the selection and maintenance of teaching resources through the District Media Services (DMS) program
- DTS provides high-capacity printing services in the Copy Center
- DTS creates and leads an Education Technology/Information Literacy Plan (ET/IL)
