Department Overview
Custodial Services’ mission is to provide a clean and safe environment that supports quality learning in the educational environment, in the most efficient manner possible. This department operates under the belief that mutual respect and professionalism between staff, students and community ensures a safe and clean environment.
Oversight
Custodians cover 50 building sites and approximately 3,724,419+- square feet of floor space. With a new elementary and high school adding another 260,000 square feet in the near future. The Department consists of 143 custodians with 20 sub custodians. Duties include the following:
- Open and close facilities on a daily basis
- Clean and disinfect district facilities
- Inspect playgrounds
- Snow Removal
- Minor repairs to facilities
- Police grounds on a daily basis
