Department Overview
The Construction Department assists with building improvements funded from bonds, grants and capital improvement funding sources. We strive to create and improve learning environments by developing a standards based solutions approach, in the effort to achieve equitable opportunities for all students in the St. Vrain School District.

Committees & Assemblies

Community Facilities Advisory Committee
The purpose of this committee is to become familiar with District facility policies, procedures, specifications and processes related to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the District’s physical plant assets as well as bond projects, deferred maintenance and energy practices.
They provide recommendations to the Chief Operations Officer, and participate in discussions with the public and the Board of Education on various facility issues, make recommendations for increasing operation, environmental efficiencies, policy and procedural changes, and review and provide feedback.
Design Advisory Group (DAG)
Major renovations and new building designs are selected with the input of many people, including a Design Advisory Group (DAG). The DAG groups consists of parents, students, school administrators, teachers, architects, building/construction professionals and city officials and are project specific.
