Department Overview
Community School Programs provide opportunities to enrich the lives of children and families in safe and welcoming environments, enabling all children to realize their highest potential. Community Schools is a dynamic, thriving and vital partner in achieving the mission and vision of the school district.
Oversight
- Provide a balanced menu of before and after school programs and activities.
- Promote achievement of the highest potential in a safe, supportive environment.
- Offer 17 licensed programs for students ages 4 through 12.
- Offer a variety of enrichment classes for students and parents.
- Programs are offered during late start (Professional Learning Community) morning and in selected settings during non-school days, breaks, and holidays.
- Summer Camp Child Care programs are also available at selected schools during the summer break.
- Our licensed preschool and kindergarten programs offer experiences that help support the curriculum based preschool and kindergarten programs to help prepare students for a successful school career.
- Work with the Colorado Child Care Assistance
