Calendar Committee

The Calendar Committee is responsible for developing the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school calendars that are sent to the Board of Education with the recommendation of approving the calendars so that they are adopted as the District's official school calendars.

Committee Goals

To facilitate what is best for students, focusing on achievement
To provide as many four/five day weeks as possible
To provide as many instructional days as possible prior to CSAP
To facilitate what is best for adults/teachers, providing opportunity for entry of grades prior to the end of a grading period.
To consider opportunities for teachers to improve practice
To meet State/Federal requirements and local District policy

Timeline Recommendation

The Calendar Committee will make a recommendation to the Board of Education at their regular meeting on February 10, 2010.
