Focus Schools

For years St. Vrain has successfully cultivated academic focus programs such as International Baccalaureate (IB), Pre-Collegiate Advanced Placement (AP), and Math and Science within existing schools. These unique programs continue to expand and attract the interest of many students and parents.

Trends across Colorado and the nation indicate that participation in focus schools is growing as parents actively pursue unique academic opportunities for their students. In fact, survey results from St. Vrain residents confirm there is a strong interest in expanding focus school opportunities.

With passage of the November 2008 Mill Levy Override, the District can now provide more program options to students and schools. The effect will be to enhance achievement, satisfy the growing demand for unique learning opportunities, and retain students and families who may be seeking opportunities outside our district.
